How much can I earn?
£15–£23 per hour, with rates reflecting your experience, expertise and contribution as a tutor, alongside opportunities to increase your rate as you grow with us. You will know exactly what you are being offered before you commit to anything.
Do I need a PVG scheme membership before I apply?
You’ll need to have your PVG Scheme membership in place before your first lesson. If you’re not already a member, don’t worry: we’ll guide you through the process before getting started with us.
Can I choose my hours?
You’re free to choose the hours that work best for you. The number of students we can match you with will depend on demand for your subject and your availability, and we’ll always be open with you about the opportunities available.
Will I be self-employed?
Yes, you’ll join us as a self-employed tutor under a Contract for Services, giving you greater flexibility over how tutoring fits around your schedule. You’ll invoice us each month for the lessons you’ve delivered and manage your own tax and National Insurance as an independent tutor.
Do I need my own teaching materials?
We ask that you’re familiar with the latest Scottish qualification requirements, past papers and marking guidance. From there, we’ll support you with additional resources and work together to build high-quality materials that give students the best possible learning experience.
